Welcome to
Camp Sababa
Camp Sababa facilitates a range of programs, including an overnight night holiday camp, for young people with disabilities aged 7-24 years old. We encourage social inclusion for all abilities and provide support to parents and families who provide year-round disability care for their children.
Our Purpose and Values
Camp Sababa Sydney was founded in 2007 in response to a growing need in the community for initiatives that catered for young people with disabilities. Run under the auspice of JewishCare it is funded predominantly by JCA with support from The Sony Foundation and Wolper Jewish Hospital Foundation.
Camp Sababa is founded and runs on 3 pillars
1.
To run an exciting and fun-filled holiday camp for young people with disabilities within the Jewish and wider community. In this way, Camp Sababa promotes inclusivity and engagement between all members of society.
2.
To provide support to families and carers of children with special needs and disabilities.
3.
To inspire and empower our volunteers to become disability advocates through their experience as a companion to our campers.
At Camp Sababa, we advocate for a world that emphasises inclusion for all people regardless of ability. We believe that through education and shared experiences, we can break down barriers and encourage social inclusion throughout the community.
